Honey Lea Gaydos - Pastel

Honey Lea Gaydos paints evocative and compelling representational images inspired by the human psyche and ideas from a variety of fields of study.  Beauty and ambiguity are elements inherent in her work which aims to reveal deep meanings most often through the expressiveness of the female form.

In her career as an interdisciplinary scholar, university professor, and advanced practice psychiatric-mental health nurse, she promoted the arts in healing practices, health care environments, and research. She has received numerous awards for her teaching, nursing practice, and artwork.

Honey Lea lives with her husband and American Eskimo Dog, Lucky, in her native Colorado. In addition to her nursing degrees, she has a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is a seasoned, professional artist who has shown and sold her work for many years through galleries and exhibitions.
