Susan Tormoen- Oil

My education is in philosophy, B. A., Lake Forest College. But early on, while I was finishing my studies as a young mother, I took a few art classes. For years I concentrated on watercolor
but after moving to Colorado and taking a workshop with Fran Dodd, I became enamored with pastel. It was then that spontaneity became characteristic of my style. I love color and the way it is possible with the stroke of a pastel stick.

Recently I have renewed my acquaintance with oils. and the pallet knife is usually my instrument of choice. I also do some weaving of tapestries.

I am a Signature member of the Pikes Peak Pastel Society.
